SENIOR GAME PLAY ENGINEER

ACTION ADVENTURE TITLE

Overview
 Stormfront Studios is looking for a creative and highly motivated Senior Game Play Engineer to join our talented team in the creation of our next blockbuster title! Based upon a high profile license that will appear as a major motion picture in 2008, this action-adventure game will benefit from unprecedented collaboration and synergy with the film.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Designers and Engineering Leads to design and implement gameplay systems.
  • Evaluate internal proprietary game engine to determine the best engineering solutions.
  • Specific duties will vary depending on the skill-set of the successful applicant.

You will be responsible for one or more of the following areas:

  • Implement core gameplay mechanics systems, including combat, collection and exploration.
  • Character control development and tuning.
  • 3 rd person camera and targeting systems.
  • AI Scripting system implementation and development.
  • Custom User Interface development.
  • Physics/Collision systems.

Requirements:

  • Significant years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent C/C++ proficiency and design skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Solid software engineering skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Solid Math background.
  • Passion for developing and playing video games.
