SENIOR PRODUCER

In the Games Industry?
Stormfront Studios is seeking a Sr. Producer to manage a single large
console project or multiple smaller games. We are a top independent video
game development company with a proven, 19-year track record. In addition
to unannounced titles, we are currently working on Spiderwick, a new action-adventure
tied to a major 2008 film from Paramount, based on the highly successful
books. Our entrepreneurial development team produces major worldwide titles
and has created multiple hits in a variety of genres.
We are looking for an accomplished Sr. Producer who has led teams in
the creation of unique games. Reporting to our CEO, you'll lead development
on one or more projects, managing internal creative teams and selecting
additional external development resources. The Sr. Producer will be an
experienced, hands-on game development professional who has the leadership
ability to plan, organize, manage and ship successful titles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development of one major title or multiple smaller games
from pre-production through final release, within set budget, schedule
and quality standards. Coordinate the resolution of delays and conflicts
that arise within the schedule and ensure timely completion of super-fun
games.
- Create efficient and accurate cost and schedule estimates, working
with internal discipline leaders and outside contractors.
- Plan efficient milestones that identify and address project risks,
and which culminate in efficient Alpha and Beta test cycles.
- Manage the day-to-day work flow of the game within our Agile development
environment, covering both internal and external teams.
- Secure all required internal and external approvals for milestones
and game content.
" Maintain the scope of the project within budget and schedule,
while maintaining originality, creativity and the continual drive to
produce great work.
- Evaluate project risks on an ongoing basis during production, and
develop alternatives for high-risk processes or game components.
- Interface with distributors, publishers etc. as needed to ensure smooth
delivery of the game to consumers.
- Coordinate the evaluation of competitive products and the inspiration
this process provides.
- Role model a positive attitude and a strong, committed work ethic.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in the production of high quality games, working
in a project management role.
- Technical skills including scripting, html, flash, level design, art,
animation or coding are a plus
- Highly responsible, detail oriented problem solver with a proven ability
to contribute to a creative environment.
- Experienced working with both internal and external teams and resources.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability
to communicate effectively to team members across a variety of disciplines
and levels of game development expertise
- Demonstrated expertise in oral and written presentations and with
presentation software (primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Scrum-based Agile development process a plus but not
required.
- Willing to accept and able to provide efficient input and direction
on a routine basis.
- Able to work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
- Familiar with a variety of games and game genres, with particular
interest/emphasis on downloadable and casual titles.
- Passionate about making our organization the best in the world within
our craft.
- Able to work comfortably both as both a team player and a leader.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
