SENIOR GRAPHICS ENGINEER
Original IP Next Gen
Stormfront Studios is adding to staff and looking for a top Senior Graphics Engineer to enhance our cutting edge rendering engine. We are a top independent videogame development company with a proven, 19 year track record working on two high-profile titles, including an original IP, for Next Gen systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own 3D graphics rendering for characters, environments,
particle effects and full-screen post processing for Next Gen Consoles.
- Experiment with cutting edge rendering techniques involving shaders,
multi-threading, new shadow-casting methods, and volumetric techniques.
- Advise and develop data transformations from tools to game, including
compression and real-time WYSIWYG viewing.
- Enhance our highly proprietary low-level code to make rendering that
is years ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to develop top notch graphics systems.
- Experience on Next Gen Console Systems (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) ideal.
- An avid gamer with a passion for creating AAA titles.
- Highly proficient in C++ and object-oriented design.
- Hard core 3D math skills.
- Deep understanding of assembly code on at least one platform, and
an ability to optimize or choose algorithms to obviate optimization.
- Familiarity with Max or Maya a plus.
- Passion for developing and playing video games.
- Solid communication skills.
- 5 years of industry experience.
