SENIOR 3D GRAPHICS ENGINEER

Overview
Stormfront Studios is adding to staff and looking for a top Senior 3D Graphics Engineer to enhance our cutting edge rendering engine. We are a top independent videogame development company with a proven, 19 year track record working on two high-profile titles, including an original IP, for Next Gen systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own 3D graphics rendering for characters, environments, particle effects and full-screen post processing on the PS3
  • Experiment with cutting edge rendering techniques involving shaders, multi-threading, new shadow-casting methods, and volumetric techniques
  • Advise and develop data transformations from tools to game, including compression and real-time WYSIWYG viewing
  • Enhance our highly proprietary low-level code to make rendering that is years ahead of the competition

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to develop top notch graphics systems
  • Hard core 3D math skills
  • Deep understanding of assembly code on at least one platform, and an ability to optimize or choose algorithms to obviate optimization

Assets:

  • Familiarity with Max or Maya a plus
  • Passion for developing and playing video games.
  • Excellent communications skills.
