TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Stormfront Studios is seeking a Technical Director to help us manage the creation of our upcoming, original IP, PS3 game. We are a top independent video game development company with a proven, 19 year track record.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Producer and Directors to set priorities and develop plans
- Manage game feature prioritization, implementation and optimization
- Collaborate with programmers to create the project Technical Design Document
- Develop and track schedules, perform risk analysis
- Understand team member strengths and weaknesses, utilizing each programmer to their fullest potential
- Work with the Studio Technical Director to set technical direction for the teams and studio
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional game development and programming experience.
- Ability to coordinate across disciplines to arrive at solutions that are good for the project and good for the company
- Strong scheduling, project sizing and risk analysis techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership qualities
- Strong understanding of programmer motivations
- Passion for creating excellent games!
